Hey Mouse, I'm a Wayne County High School grad who used to work in the tobacco fields of Faison when I was 13-16. Bought my first 69 Camaro from a guy in Mt Olive on my 16th birthday in 1978. That was a bunch of barns of tobacco but it kept me from driving my Mom's Ford wagon. Looking forward to meeting you at the meet and greet.

Hey Greg, I'm retired from the Air Force. I was at Seymour Johnson from March of 84 to July of 09. I did a one year tour to Korea. I've been down here in Faison since 92 when I met my wife Susan. Tobacco was huge here and sad to see it has gone away so much. I know it was a major income for most in the area. I'm in produce now so I have kind of an idea of what farming is like. Looking forward to meeting you at the meet.

Just wanted to update everybody with the totals so far....We have 42 here on Camaro5, 18 on Modern Camaro, and another 93 on Facebook!!!! 40 5th Gen Camaros of the Carolinas Club members are attending for a grand total of 153 Camaros so far!!! This is going to be a helluva party!!

Keep the enthusiasm everyone! Things are still looking Great! Did a walk thru at the Hotel and Hendrick both were very accommodating... Hotel is so nice i live 20 mins away and still think im renting a room for the night pics and more info to come soon! Keep Booking Rooms! Lets fill up the hotel

Several CACC members went by Hendrick, the host hotel and The Ale House this evening. Hendrick Cary has 2 Hot Wheels Camaros on order and expect them by May. Unless they are presold before they arrive they will bring them along with ZL1 and 1LE. These are in addition to the cars they bring from the Hendrick Collection.

We toured the host hotel as a group and agreed to an area for sponsor displays and the DJ which borders a wooded area with only an office building which is closed on Saturdays within hearing distance. The rooms were just renovated including all new bedding and furniture. The lobby/bar area was also just redone. One point the manager made about my tip for 1st floor room was that you have to specify an exterior room. If you have a room on interior side of hallway then it opens onto the courtyard. Here is a picture of the courtyard.

That sounds awesome. I will let the club know. We have a meet tomorrow as long as the snow is mostly gone. We are getting more right now.
