I understand we are a kind of an "apples to oranges" comparison because of the (small) variables, but I doubt those variables result in a 39lb difference. Where is the gain?
Any safety changes? BTW, The trunk lid is now aluminum.

Can't see the new nose and tail adding (if any) weight

The 2013 Camaro brochure lists weight of the Camaro 1LE at 3875 lbs.

The 2013 Camaro SS 1LE performance package dealer reference guide lists it as 3849 lbs.

Regular manual SS is 3908.

Are those measured with full tank of gas?

I think you mis-typed

I have both the '13 and '14 brochures along with the 2013 1LE Dealer Reference Guide (DRG).

DRG lists weight as 3849
'13 brochure lists 1LE as 3875 and SS manual as 3849
'14 brochure lists 1LE as 3875 and SS manual as 3908

I have a few copies of 2014 SS 1LE invoices:

1SS/1LE/NPP/Rear Vision/BA Radio: Ship weight 3812
2SS/1LE/NAV/RS: Ship weight 3843

Bringing back from dead...
My 2014 1SS/1LE/NPP/Recaros invoice weight is listed as 3801lbs

I am thinking invoice weight is without fluids, or maybe all fluids except fuel?

1/2 tank of fuel (59lbs) would take my weight to 3860lbs which is the # I had found on back in 2013 on Chevrolet's website Camaro 1SS

??????

Must be with fluids except fuel...Most weight is from stereo, leather and stock catback IMO. Lights and dash can be heavier but nothing worthy mentionning I'd guess.

Because this is back from the dead. My manual Z/28 Recaro seat was exactly the same weight as my 1SS power cloth seat. (if my memory is right both DR side are 55.4lbs each ) The Recaro in the SS that has a motor and track for for /aft and an additional motor track and hinges for up/down is going to weigh more. If the SS Recaro has a electric lumbar it will add additional components as well. A seat heater will add a little bit too.

This may be 5-10lbs per seat but could be more?? Either way there is 10lbs-20lbs in the seats.

Matt

My 1SS w/ Recaros do not have lumbar or a heater, atleast there is no way to activate them. Maybe the heater is in the seat, but the control hardware is not there (at console).

I should have tried to weigh my car last year before I did some mods. Maybe a couple extra.

Camaro Fest could have a scale at a central location so attendees can get a # while eliminating the scale variable.

Well this bit of information just killed my intentions of ever replacing my leather 2SS seats with the manual Recaro's, thank you!

I'm going to weigh both my '13 non-RS halogen headlamps and RS headlamp replacements I recently bought.

They installed the halogen ones on the Z28 for weight savings, and they are smaller assemblies on the '14+ refresh models than the 10-13 ones. Curious what the differences will be on the larger 2010-2013 assemblies, non-RS vs RS.

Remember, weight on the very end of the vehicle is the worst place for weight when road racing!

My L99 weighed 3840 range and my LS3 is lighter. Where did that 3908 come from?

Back from the dead...again, just updating

I put mine on a local concrete ready mix scale, far from ideal, their scale is in 20lb increments, with me (195lbs, weighed that morning), full fuel tank, RideTech coilovers which are 30lbs lighter than OE springs/struts:

4060lbs
with out me: 3865lbs
