just let the hammer slip and accidentally damage your stock ones and get some highflows that bolt up

I think they are welded into the piping...a cutout installed before the cats would certainly fix this issue however...and that way you wouldn't even have to get under the car...just flip a switch.

Which one? He makes a speech every other day.

Regardless, it pisses me off that we (tax payers) are going to pay for emissions controls.

Guys, The scoop on the factory mufflers is this, they sound absolutely awesome with our system. This was a concern of ours but it turned out to be huge relief. The sound could best be descibed as a cross between Flowmasters at idle and part throttle to Magnaflows when you're hammering it. What's great is that although there's quite a bit of volume, there is no drone. The catted portion of the system is not welded to the X-pipe.

Nick - have you guys experimented with aftermarket and OEM mufflers, power-wise? I'd be interested in seeing if there were much in terms of gains.

Thanks and great job

Two questions:
1) Can we hear them?
2) Will they be available without cats?

Radz, We dyno tested the G8 mufflers, which happen to be much quieter than the Camaro's, and only saw a 3 RWHP gain by removing them altogether and dynoing with open exhaust. I expect these mufflers to be at least as good as the G8's if not better.

Wavrun, I will have a sound clip hopefully next week as we have another Camaro coming in. You most certainly can buy the off road catless system.

Hopefully towards the end of next week because I am coming back to Long Island the middle of next week for a mini-vacation. I would love to come check these out!

Yes I do have a before and after dyno graph. It was scanned earlier today. I'm waiting on Tom to post it. This vehicle made 383RWHP and 379TQ SAE corrected. It finished off with 433RWHP and 424TQ.
