I've been waiting for those floor mats. Time to order a pair.

I like the shifter too.

380$ cdn shipped to canada
100$ cdn install 1 and a half hours at a reputable garage.
Oversaw the whole process....On our v6`s there is an extra rubber boot to remove and a plate too loosen to reach the centering springs that must be unloaded before removing the shifter assembly from the bottom of the car.
Besides that the install is pretty basic but youl be a good while under the car, i recommend bringing it to get installed unless you have realy good equipement and or skills.

Do you think they'll change the shift pattern on the knob, or would it be better to just buy a new one? The knobs seem a little pricey.

Some of the Hurst replacement knobs are indeed pricy. Most of the high end ones are anodized aluminum and hence the price. If you are looking at a plain black knob with no patterns they can be had for about $10 USD. I think it is part number 1637200.

While this is a knob for a different shifter, the size is correct and the threading correct also.

Hurst has been told by GM NOT to make the other V6 Pattern available for some reason. This told to me by the Parts rep after he got off the phone with Hurst themselves.

Just ordered the Hurst shifter. The instructions say "this does increase both tactile and sometimes audible levels of vibration. While every effort has been made to reduce the amount of objectionable transmission/driveline noise transmitted into the interior of the vehicle." Have you noticed any noises or vibrations?

vibration and noise no.i had all screws set with blue loctite.but there is a very noticible mechanical click when u put it into gear.awesome sound if you ask me.And if im not mistaken Hurst has a `quiet`package out that includes some dynamat and rubber seals available for ordering.
