Screwing around on the Chevrolet website to get a private offer. There are 4 Camaro ZL1s in my area. There are 335 Volts.

I've never been a fan of greenie cars, but that Volt seems to be pretty decent (I have not driven one (yet), but those who drive them seem to give them props).
Maybe GM could offer a ZL-1 package?!? |

Some states have incentives where you could get more money back. I'd check with Nevada.

This isn't entirely correct. It isn't based on how much you paid, it's based on how much you owe BEFORE credits. If you have your 1040A handy look at lines 28-30. This is the amount it gets deducted from. Also, the EV tax credit is the last credit that is taken off, all of your other credit's (child care, 401k, etc) take precedent. Don't worry if you don't use it all either. You can retain the unused EV tax credit for I think 2 more years.

It was explained by the person we spoke about for filing the federal taxes. For example, I owed/paid over $7,500 in taxes. They advised if we owed/paid less than that, we could only qualify up to that amount in a federal rebate for purchasing the volt. It obviously makes sense the way you explained it. Tax terms and I do not go well together.

I like the idea of the Volt, (I have solar panels to feel better about myself), but I cant bring myself to trade a V8 for a hybrid.
Maybe when the $35k Tesla comes out....
