I've noticed that if you have a fresh layer of wax, it's a good idea to test if your paint is still sheeting or beading. Sometimes you need to do 2 washes and add APC both times to fully get rid of wax.

I thought it was okay to use dawn dish soap to remove wax. Should I get something else? I always have dawn on hand.

I have both Dawn and Chemical Guys Citrus Wash N Gloss (one of the most widely used products to strip wax). Both seem to work great! I just like CGWNG because it's more foam and fun to use
