quick question: can plasti dip act as a primer? meaning can i spray ontop of the plasti dip

Good question, Seeing how it's a flexible vinyl/plastic I would imagine you would have issues. I've got a few cans of various paints/Plasti-Dip at home. I'll try it out to see.

yea i saw that, but i just wanted to make sure. so i'm guessing that guy just used plasti dip and some sort of gold spray paint. no primer under the plasti dip?

Another good tip is for those tht are really lazy with taping is tht it comes off of paint really easy when u use bug and tar remover and a microfiber towel..

Any durability issues? I am concerned if this stuff is so easily removed you could do it in routine cleaning of the car.

It is pretty tough stuff. I have this on my spoiler and rims and go to the machine car wash. It has not peeled off yet or even start peeling.

I did my tails and 'ties about two weeks ago. The PD has held up quite well considering I've handwashed and waxed twice since I did them. My front 'tie bubbled on me a little bit, so I'll be going back and re-doing it soon. I didn't want to remove my rear bowtie, but I may just do it now. That one gave me the most trouble when trying to remove the tape.
