CAI, MSD Manifold, and tune Dyno!

***UPDATE AS OF 6/16/16***
**NOW ON E85**

-MSD manifold
-CAI CAI
-2nd cat deletes
-e85

Didn't have a chance to do a baseline dyno, but there's plenty of stock dyno sheets floating around.

With just the mods installed and the 2nd cats deleted, it put down 406/406. After the tune I am sitting at 422whp/429wtq.

Now on e85, car is making 440/444.

Dyno is a DynaPack, for anyone unfamiliar, it reads slightly higher than a Mustang dyno (heartbreaker).

It screams! Video doesn't really do it justice. It hurt to stand that close.

Newb question cause I haven't really beer following stuff...
Where are the second cats vs primary? Did you just have an exhaust shop pull them and replace with a straight pipe?
What does the stock car dyno at?
Also, I'm not far from Carlsbad, can you tell me who did your work?

They're about 2 feet past the primaries. They look like square canisters. I had a shop I won't name cut them out and slip on a pipe and welded it up.

A stock car will dyno on a Mustang dyno around 387-395. I installed the cai and manifold myself.

Assuming 387-395 stock that means the mods alone only added 11-19 whp?
Didn't those mods cost you around 2k. Doesn't that seem like a low bang for your buck?
Any reason you didn't do the Ported throttle body?
Aren't people claiming much higher gains from the intake manifold?
Thanks for answering my questions as I'm thinking about the same exact mods with the VMax added.

On this dyno my car would probably have put down high 380s.

I also got the cai and manifold for about 1200 bucks for both. I got a really good deal. I probably could have went without the CAI. I got a good deal so I bought it but that's probably 400 bucks that you can save and not hurt performance.

Looking back I probably should have got the vmax TB as well but its only $165 and I wont have to retune so I'll get that soon more than likely.

I picked up 30whp+ from manifold and tune so for the $900 I paid it seems like a good mod and its relatively easy to install.

Would have loved to see the stock dyno too. But if you picked up 30 from 900 I'd sure call that a damn good deal! You only paid 100 for the tune?
How did you get that deal on the parts? Can you hook me up?

Had a hookup on the tune through a friend lol. All I did was PM a few vendors to get the best price. When you pit them against each other they get down to the bottom pricing quick

looks like the tune work wonders I gotta love that nice bulge in the 4000 to 5000 torque curve AND the nice flat top HP from 5500 to 6100. Really great looking power curve.

Do you have to mix the fuel or can you just run E85 from the pump?
