Most doors have a half way point but on the Camaro its like you open and the damn door swings fully out. I can imagine how many people already smashed the drivers door edge into something as a result.

What a crappy door check design.

I am frantic every time I get out in my garage not to hit my toolbox.

Hahaha, you probably would shoot yourself if you daily drove a second gen.

I honestly think you can make a back/chest workout out of opening and closing second-gen doors. 3 sets, 8 reps and you won't be able to put your shirt on after several weeks.

the large long doors have always been the same way. They were the same way on my 95 Z-28. if you're not holding on to it after it gets past it's first opening width, you better watch out! I'm extremely careful with mine as I have brick columns in my carport.

That is why I installed the plastic strips on the edge of the door.

Caddy doors dont act like this my friends have CTS 2010 and my old man has a Deville those doors are big and heavy too.

On Coupes with large doors that are super heavy. Mercedes Benz SL and CL doors are very heavy but they are so well engineered not to swing out like the Camaro ones. Ha then again they are 100k more money over the SS.

I am going to buy some foam for the garage and possibly install the 3M clear paint film on my door edges.

I am so used to getting out of my cars them pushing the door fully once I am standing halfway out. I pop the Camaro door and bye bye birdie before I left the freaking seat.

Damn the shifter is so damn notchy couldnt them make the door check with two progressive stoping points LOL.

time for some LAMBO DOORS ha ha ha

This is like the guy that was complaining about his seatbeat buckle scratching his door panel when he unbuckled by simply pressing the button and letting it fly.
