I personally think all the choices are over priced and would not choose any of them.

A lot of folks have been very happy with the Flowmaster cat back. Pypes and Doug Thorley also have reasonably priced systems as well. A quick google search should provide ample sound clip samples.

If you wanted a header to muffler solution at a reasonable price the Texas Speed exhaust is a good choice as well.

Many options out there.

That's the problem, NO ONE has tried them all. People are partial to the one they chose for their own reasons. Some of the shops can tell you which ones are typically louder. If loud is what you want, save yourself a ton of $$ and do the muffler delete. There's a ton of options available to you but in the end, it's you that has to live with it. Sound quality, ride quality, and buttometers are all very subjective.

Hi,
I've been looking at the Flowmaster 817481 American Thunder Cat-back system.
Has anyone installed this on a 2SS and have there been any issues as it relates to deleting the original resonators.

I just had a Magnaflow 11386 resonated X-pipe installed.. stock resonators and mufflers removed. Cost was $280 total. It's not as loud as I thought it would be but after a few hundred miles it should open up a bit.

Borla all the way!!! But if you have a GM Bodykit MBRP would be a good choice because they make a kit with square tips!!!

I have this system on my SS and have zero regrets. The tone and performance for the amount of money is awesome ...
