As someone who jumped ship and

bought a corvette with the great deals going on, you will all be thrilled with the LS3. It is a bear right off the showroom floor. I was someone shocked with the power, even thought I had a 600hp truck.

Enjoy.

You bought a corvette and didn't post pics of it...

Either way congrats!

What, no pics and no details? What trim, new or used? C'mon, moog, you act like we don't care. Anyway, congrats! I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Looking at doing the same after my dealer went under and my deposit refunded. I'm just not sure I want to be at the end of the line at another dealer and deal with the BS all over again.

I went with a 3LT convertible. No pics yet. Triple black. At the end of the day with the discount off of MSRP ($14000) and 0% financing, I figured my out of pocket difference between the 2ss/rs I had on order and the vette was only about $5k, with a difference in sticker of $25k. That said, it is a new model year 08 vs. a 2010 and I assumed financing at 6% on the camaro. You may get a better rate. I still just couldn't justify that difference, but I love the camaro and am sure you guys will love it.

They both have the LS3 and its a great engine. I am trying to stay awaying from modding now, but am losing my internal battle.

very nice! and remember... they have to prove that your mods caused the damage to reject a warranty claim!

That may be the letter of the Magnuson Moss Act but good luck in winning that battle with the dealer and/or GM. When they deny your warranty claim, your only option is to sue them. As a lawyer, I also know that the expense and time spent to pursue such a claim will always exceed the repair. Its fine to make the argument, but any significant damage can always be argued to relate to a performance modification. Maybe not always (like the power window motor doesn't relate to those headers), but you get the idea.

If I mod, I do so knowing that I may be on the hook for repairs. Thats the practical truth.

Enjoy it! It is tempting to get a great deal on a vette, they are out there right now. I will wait though for the camaro, I think it worth it. Glad you bought American, and I know you will have a blast.

Oh yeah and BTW
