Impatient? Angry?
Saw Camaro 5 concept in Motor Trend in 2005, pestered the heck outta of my dealer for at least a solid year, ordered on 10/15/2008 , then waited 8 months for delivery. Really wish I could feel your impatience and anger.....but I can't seem to muster up some sympathy knowing how good you already have it. Just know that I DO wish you luck and I DO hope you get your BAD@SS Camaro sooner than later!!  Just Keep the Faith!

well. I didnt cry but I definatly cant stop smiling!!! Driving this m6 is alot different than the 95 neon 5 speed I practiced stick on. Im doing ok. Def not going to be showing off any time soon. Ive only killed it twice now hahahha. Will post pics after I buy new camera batteries

Waiting hurts!
I remember last year waiting 5 months for my 2010 SS. I thought I would die first!
This year I ordered a 2011 SS and from the TPW till delivery was a whopping 2 weeks. The 2 weeks was still painful, just not as long. Amanda glad you finally got your car and big smile. I'm still smiling!!!

It looks like the the longest part of my wait may be the part I'm in now. I gave my dealer $500 four weeks ago and he's still waiting for GM to give him an opening to place an order. He says that the car shouldn't actually take too long once it's ordered. We'll see.

Amanda, fully understood your frustration. Very happy you recieved your Camaro enjoying the driving experience.
I live in Ontario and only a 5 hour drive to the factory. Below are my order stats for my 2011 2LT: 05/18/2010 order placed 05/19/2010 #1100 preliminary order accepted 05/19/2010 #1102 preliminary order accepted thru web 07/08/2010 #2000 Accepted by GM 07/08/2010 #2500 Preference 07/08/2010 #3000 Accepted by Production Control I have been informed by dealer I will not receive further production updates until, or after July 26. When I ordered, expected delivery was end of July or first week of Aug. Now, I have no idea as to an expected delivery date but doubt it will be first week of August. Must say my dealer attempted to keep me informed, but here in Canada, GM Canada is very lax in communicating info to their Canadian dealers. I have gone on 'rants' to my sales representitive, he always responds fast and responds polite. My Chevy dealer is high volumn, and to this day still do not fully understand why my 2011 is taking so long when others in the US, and a few in Canada who per-ordered on, or about the same date have either recieved their 2011 models or have received a delivery date. I am age 59, and preordered many |
