Now if this was a 73 or 74 Chevy pickup I would highly do the underside and also over the paint............these were rust buckets if I ever seen one. You should be good without it...........good idea cancelling..........now use that money wisely and enter Bonnie in another contest.

They already hit him with the document fee and then some other crazy fee. We chatted about it on the phone yesterday.

What he said.....keep it clean and you will not have a problem.....I live in a snow belt and quit undercoating my vehicles many vehicles ago! I give the car, especially under, a good rinsing at least once every two weeks and have had no rusties!!

Yup, got 250.00 clerical fee and 250.00 delivery fee. That's basicaly 500.00 over MSRP that I'm paying but I can live with it. That's the whole deal so it's not a deal breaker for me.

Delivery fee?? WTF! That is what the destination charge is for.

The clerical fee is PURE dealership BS. When we bought our Malibu they tried to get us to pay $450 for the same thing. I immediately got pissed and said Im only paying what it actually costs to title the vehicle. Took about 2 seconds for the salesman to understand that I was VERY serious and it got changed to $27.50.

All your leverage is to walk away and say NO DEAL. This is the first car I've ever bought where that leverage is taken away. I'm NOT walking away from this car over 500.00

I'm sure they would LOVE to see me refuse the car. Then they could keep my thousand dollars AND sell the car for over MSRP AND still get the extra fees. I knew those fees were there when I ordered the car but ordering so late in the game (Feb. 23rd) and being #2 at the dealership was too good to pass up. I'll be driving my car, at the latest, Monday while the guys that were # 5 and up at the other dealerships are still at 1100.

Your only bargaining power when buying a car is to NOT buy the car. That wasn't going to happen with me.

They are supposed to guarantee the car will not get dinged by stones and doors. If it does then the dealership will take care of it for you. I believe comprehensive coverage also gives some coverage through insurance. Anyone know if that is correct?

I only had to pay 74 dollars for processing fee for consumer services. I was lucky.

Thanx Matrix.

Ya they said Saturday most likely. Possibly Monday.

So Edog, the Kevlar thing makes sense? What is it? He said they would do the Kevlar at no cost but I said just leave it alone.

It is a spray they put on the car to seal it. I believe that is how they did my sport trak when I got it.
