I consider a trophy a bonus, you can't fault your car or yourself. Most times it makes no sense. In fact I have a few shows left this season I will attend, then next year I won't be showing except for club events. It's just too much work.

I do one show a year, a local retirement home that does it for the residents. The residents do the judging, and nothing newer than 1965 ever wins. I know I will never win, I just do it so people who can't get to car shows get to see some cars. Do car shows for the fun, not for the prize.

I love your red bowtie inserts! Are they painted or vinyl inserts?

I gave up on these contests ,a long time ago, I went to a chili and Salsa cookoff about 8 years ago, I was making salsa ,I have this receipe that i got from a place caled Lucille's in Torrance CA. When i use to live there , I moved to Wis, In 91 and would go back to visit for years and always brought his salsa back t was a one of a kind ,Old secert family reciepe, ,It took me years but he finally showed me how to make it ,after years off pleading and my promise never to give it out,Thank God cause bless his soul he dies 2 years ago. Anyways I made it and people were walking to booth to booth i was one of thelast booths, Almost everyone said my Salsa was the best and wanted to buy it, Well they judged it and i wasn''t even in the Top10??? After that i was so disgusted i quit going to any of those contests i swear either they are fixed or the judges dont have a clue.. So dont worry your Victory Red should of won,and is a real beauty ,Be proud of her ,I know i would if i had her.

I never understood late model vehicles in car shows. Blow it off and enjoy looking at all the cars!

Why do people get so worked up over car show judging nonsense?
It's no different than judging people, and its just as pointless. Every car has its own unique differences and subtleties to be appreciated. Who gives a crap what certain people think is "better"?
