i dont know if this will help anyone but if you take the exhaust loose you can pull down on the tail of the trans and pull out the stock shifter assembly as one piece i already have a ripshift but am thinking of changing to this mgw

also is there a replacement shift boot made to fit the bottom ofyour shifter knob, thats one reason why i havent changed shift knobs yet

the boot on your oem shifter has a plastic chrome finish top collar that is simply attach with a cable tie. if you invert the boot you will see it. you snip this off and our shifter knobs have a flared based with a groove below it to attach just like the oem one. we also include the cable tie to install it.

Great job on the video install! Need a little more light to see what you were working on in some of the videos but still having the videos will be a big +.

I'll have to watch the videos once or twice more once I actually get the shifter. In general it seems okay but I'm sure I'll run into some snags that you make look easy.

If you can get some new video of it all done and in action plus with the SS race knob that would be great.

so the shift boot will be attached to the shift knob not like stock where the chrome collar snaps onto the base of the kob?

Really nice install....moderate to easy for the average mechanic. With these videos (and maybe a buddy to help ya) you guys should have no problem. Not as easy as changin a tire, but not as difficult as say....swappin a motor out either

Awesome videos, thank you for taking the time! Which video shows you rowing through the gears after the shifter is installed? Didn't notice it right away...
