SPEC clutch

Well finally finished with my clutch install and I have to say this clutch, so far, is real smooth. It feels like I'm learning how to drive a manual again. It is totally different to stock. It is very sensitive and putting it in gear is very smooth. I heard a little chatter when in 3rd gear but I am not absolutely sure if it's because of the clutch...it was hard to hear because of my exhaust. Over all, everything is good so far. I have to break it in for 500 miles before I can really put it to the test to see how it handles. Will get back after the break in period...hopefully within two and a half weeks.

Chatter in 3rd gear? Usually chatter occurs upon take off not when the vehicle is already in motion...odd

well hopefully I was just hearing things and it wasn't chatter. My exhaust is pretty loud though, so we will see once I drive it again.

I have a spec clutch and usually the noise is from it lugging from the revs being to low in a higher gear

I agree with that comment that it lugs at low rpm in a higher gear, maybe that is what the OP meant

you guys are probably right...haven't heard the chatter anymore. New clutch is very sensitive, I keep stalling the car

So far the clutch feels great...no regrets. When I give it some gas it grabs and it just goes, it actually feels faster. Loving it so far but can't really test it since I'm still going through the break-in period. Suppose to break it in for 500 miles, currently at 100. I have a long ways to go...maybe its time for a road trip.

Thank you for the review. Clutch is the next major upgrade for me, and trying to decide which one of the two available for us to get. I'll be very interested in your opinions once you're through the break-in. You need to go on a road trip!!!

who is the other manufacturer? I thought SPEC was the only one that offered a clutch for the V6

RAM now offers one. Just came out, basically, if it is even in regular production/distribution.
