Help, how to turn off all traction control

OK, I'm confused. I want to totally disable the nannies for the drag strip. I have dr's on 18" wheels, so traction is not an issue. I thought that mode 5 did this, but in "testing" I've found it still backs power off in a wheel spin situation. If I hold down traction control button for 5-6 seconds will it turn it all off like my ss did. Even better I've read about pulling fuse 40 &45 (IIRC) to disable abs and stabilitrak. Is this better? Help please. Going to track tonight and want to represent!

So if I do that all nannies are off? I don't have to change any ptm modes once I hold down the tc button, or does that shut the ptm modes off also. Not trying to sound like a moron, but I'm going to look like a dipshit if I pull into the burnout box and the car bogs and won't spin. Thanks

Press and told the TC button for 7 seconds until the lights display in the dash. There is also a series of ZL1 specific videos GM released to help new owners. Very helpful and informative. They are stickied at the top of this section.

PTM mode 5 sets the traction control and stabilatrack for optimal settings for a hard launch on a well prepped drag stip surface.

If you want to turn them off completely and launch it all on your own, do as you did in the SS and hold the button down for 7-10 seconds.

Yes, press right button for 7 seconds as previously indicated, everythings off, just you and the car. Adjust your RPM launch point according to track conditions as you would have without electronics. That's the best it gets.

onld the Tc buttom for 5-7 seconds should do it just like your ss. turns off stabilitrack and TC. don't go back into PTM or that will enable combinations of the systems based on mode.

even mode 5 is not everthing off as you have discovered.

Well for the OP, I have had no issues with doing a burnout in mode 4 or 5, so I wouldn't worry about that

I was told to pus the brake down, push the off button until both stabilitrack and TC lights come on and then your ready to roll! It makes a big difference with the power I`m making, no bog with the meth system...
