Here's the 1969 Camro tail light. I would guess the inspiration came from here, not the Prelude. P.S. I still hate the new tail lights.

they do not look like a flucking honda rust bucket ricer... They are GM heritage from the 1970s and if you don't get that then you need to go to the prelude forums and stay there.
