weld rim drag setup

I went to dragstrip today with new weld rim setup 17x5 on front with m&h 185x55x17 and 17x10 on rear with m&h 325x45x17. My car ran about .1 tenth slower 60ft,.15 in the 1/8 and .3 tenths in 1/4 and 3mph. My computer has been acting crazy because of the smaller front tire verses the back with the abs, brake, stabilitrak, and traction control light comes on after I drive it for a little while which other guys are having the same problem. I'm wondering if it was the 90 degree weather or the computer acting up that caused my time to be off.

What race track and at what time were you racing? Do you have a time slip from the previous time and this last time? I'll figure out what's happening for you.

Pull the wheels off and check for rubs

Sorry to hear about your times, but your car looks awesome!!!! I was thinking about getting the same black anodized set-up (but with the 28" bias ply front runners). Unfortunately, I needed a set of daily driver wheels/tires first.

The tire size being different is the issue with the computer. When we sell the combo we sell it with the 28" front tire to correctly work with the 28" rear tires. I believe your running a much smaller front correct? That looks like the 26" front.

They may call that tire 26" tall yet 185 x 55% x 2 divided by 25.4 + 17 = only 25.01". they are 25'' For sure-That is why his ABS/TC and Stabilitrac are acting up.

I checked the da with my other runs and it was -197 and sunday was 2257. I know that made a difference but that much. I would think me putting the drag setup and losing that rolling mass weight would have at least run the same time or just a tenth slower with the da difference. I also checked for rubs and didn't see any. So maybe it was the da change.

That's where I was going with this. Bad DA will kill your times.

That is a big change in DA, I think we used to say 700DA + would slow a car down a tenth. So you are talking 2-3 tenths due to weather. Negative DA is great but most of us only if ever see it at the very end of racing season like here in Chicago.
