Camaro #1 salesman knew his stuff and actually directed me to Camaro5 before I bought the car, that led me to Becky D which got me more info on said car before I bought it.
Camaro #2 bought from a dealer 200 miles away, salesman knew next to nothing but I got the car I wanted at a great price so who cares, I will likely never go there again! |

The 1LE isn't a model, but the only thing special about this one is the black rims

One dealer said the 1LE was the base model V6.
Another dealer said the 1LE had magnetic ride control (insisted it did). 1LE had a different engine than an SS. Basically a barely street legal race car. Beacause it was so special there was an almost $6,000 non-negotiable increase in price. |

When I expressed that I wanted a stick shift, he said they had quit making Camaro's with a standard transmission, so I might as well by an automatic.

When the first one showed up at my local dealer, back in '09, I dropped in to take a look. It was already sold, so the salesman wasn't trying to sell it to me. It was a 2SS/RS 6M and I mentioned that if I got one, that's what I wanted. The salesman said that he didn't know why anyone would buy a SS auto, since it had a smaller engine. I told him that I agreed, but the auto engine wasn't really smaller, just less horsepower. He argued with me for about 15 minutes, trying to tell me that the auto was a 6.0 and the stick was a 6.2. Then he went to get his documentation, so he could show me. In a few minutes he came back with a funny look on his face and said "well I guess you're right". I gave him my cell phone number and told him that if he had anymore questions, give me a call.

I got lucky - my salesman was very informed and presented his product accurately; the info he gave me helped me make my buying decision. He demonstrated the car to me quite well and I caught him in no lies.

He told me the car doesn't need a USB port anymore because it has bluetooth.
I dunno, that doesn't really offend me, the guy just didn't know any better. If he knew you could add one for $125 he would have told me that instead.

I wasn't lied to because he wasn't trying to sell me. Did my homework and had already test drove sevral. I did think it was funny how many times he had to go back to the sales manager during the negotiation. It was at least 5. Finaly the manager had to come out and negotiate directly. In the end I got the price I wanted and left happy.
