I had a warranty issue with one of my wheels, the dealer looked at it last week and said they would replace it and they thought it would be there by Wednesday (today)

When I called today the parts guy said it is on national backorder, has anyone had a similar problem. They told me that either GM is changing venders or they could have discover a problem with the wheels.

or too many reg Camaros are being made to look like Zl1s,people are buying up all the wheels

Someone posted a few days ago that the rest of the '13's will be getting the old '10-'12 wheels, not the '13 wheels. Don't remember what the exact reason was though. (Don't know about the ZL1's)

I hope not. I like the distinct look of the ZL1 and would hate to see a bunch of wannabe lookalikes

The parts guy made it sound like it was a fairly normal occurrence, his best guess was they were changing venders.

iv never seen a "crhome wheel" on a zl.. just the reg wheel and the black..

The black wheels are "regular." And the polished an option.

Aren't the same basic front wheels used on the 1LE? If so, it could just be the supplier is having problems. I would think GM is probably more concerned in keeping their production line supplied. If there was truly a supplier issue, the. The wheels would be on constraint.

I have had a set of four to mount my winter tires on order since August. I finally had to mount them on my original rims, but I don't want to play that game twince a year.

ive tried getting the black rims on my zl1 but apparently they are on backorder too....i hate those ugly 5 spokes...

Pretty sure the OP meant polished as no Camaro comes with chrome wheels.
