Style wise, I like the R/T better. And the previous SRT8 over either

If the Camaro and Challenger didn't exist, I'd probably really want this car. I actually wanted a Dodge Charger Daytona when they first came out. I think this looks better than the original version. I love the updated taillight. Even though it has 4 doors, it now is much closer to the original Charger than any of the other remakes.

On the new Dodge GTR Evo Sedan:

Does the lower rear facia look familiar to anyone?

We'll need to tell them to make sure there's enough clearance when they get their MRT 2.0's installed..

I like and respect the Challenger. The Charger, not at all--in terms of liking it.

The new design looks more sophisticated than the outgoing model so that's an improvement. There are more dramatic lines for the new body style.

But, that hideous spoiler just needs to go... far.

I hope Chevy re-designs some of its cars. But then again, I guess not everybody like's Dodge's aggressive looks. I tend not to like the standard Chevy bubbly look. If I buy another GM it'll either be GMC or Cadillac because of the lackluster current Chevy lineup.
ZL1 will probably be 10k more expensivev than SRT8s too.....

Trouble is the 392 is starting around 44k. So about 10k more than a well optioned GT or SS, but only with 40 more horsepower. I'd rather have a Boss 302 and mod it for that money.

You are missing some key points, the SRT is basically loaded. To get a Mustang GT even close to the SRTs option levels is over 40k and you can can't even get an SS close enought to the SRTs STANDARD equipment to even matter. You CANNOT compare a base Camaro or Mustang GT to the SRT8 unless since i last checked they come with heated leather seats, youchscreen interfaces with harddrives, Paremeter keyless entry and start, specific sport seats, standard 30g harddrive, EVIC with performance timer, 20 inch forged lightweight alcoa wheels, standard striping, standard 4 wheel brembo brakes (yes the SS does, but it is optional on the GT and then only the fronts), well, anyways, you get the idea.... And it is even worse with the Charger which adds things like heated AND cooled front seats, heated rear seats, adaptive cruise control, 19 speaker Harman Karden (however it is spelled) audio system (same as is an option on the Lexus LS460), paddle shifters, electronic suspension, etc, etc.

Also I am not saying the ZL1 is not worth it's price, it will be, it is just in a different niche and should not be compared to SRT8 anymore than a barebones Mustang GT or Camaro SS should be.

Depends on what your definition of "smoke" is.

To me: 12.5@114 vs 12.3@117 is not getting "smoked". To me it would take at least a full second faster to be considered a smoking.

Im getting my times from the 392 Challenger. It has ran a best ET of 12.4 and best mph 114-115. And no the Challenger is not that much lighter. 100-200 lbs tops. The cars are basically the same, but from ive heard so far the new Charger will have better Aero than the Challenger.

The amount of new features and technology in this new charger is amazing. For once I can say this is one SRT8 that is well worth the coin. The cts-v will likely be $20k ($43k vs $63k) more than this car. Even the ZL1 will likely be $10k more. I would much rather buy this car and throw a $10k supercharger on it and and go V/ZL1 hunting on a daily basis. lol

Liked the previous Charger and like this one even more!

The aggressive styling up front, new side markings and love the new lights on the tail!

Add in the 392...heck...sold!
