Radar Detector

I have a passport 9500 and I have it plugged up to the port beside the TC button. I was wondering what everyone else is doing. The cord has already scratched up the plastic screen for the radio so I was wondering if anyone had a blendmount with a tap wire? I had a Stingray before the z/28 and it has the same rear view mirror and I couldn't get a tap to work with it. In my Porsche I have my radar hooked up to a fuse tap, if that is the only route to go in the Z what fuse should I use?

I put a Valentine One using the Blendmount CHE-008 and mirrortap into my '15 Z. Wired into the airbag indicator in the overhead console. Used the instructions on the FAQ Question 1850 on blendmount.com.

had valentine for many years but too many false alerts. Now use passport 9500ix got refurbished on ebay 300 and sold the beat up old valentine for 240. Love the GPS red light camera feature and learn modes. Power wire comes out from above mirror and its tucked up there to get best range front and back using this mount http://goo.gl/YSfnVT in both the z and suburban and I just move the detector. Power is taped from fuse panel on left of dash.

I use the blendmount and just ran wires down to the fuse box. All the wires are completely hidden and I love the setup. I have a 2015 model and dint think you can tap into the mirror wires like the previous models.

I have a Valentine One plus Blendmount tapped into the back of the rear view mirror. Looks neat and no issues with it.

Valentine One plus Blendmount. Could not get my wire tap to work, so ran a power cord across headliner down to driver's side fuse box.

I routed my wires under headliner, pillars, under dash, and to lighter port.
