I called my dealership, they checked my Vin and said that I did not have any recalls. I even explained to them what the recall was about and still nothing.

What should I do?

Never when I didn't have to, but 4 or 5 times when the BCM that controls the remote went south. Finally realized that, heck, all I had to do was call OnStar and did that until I got the BCM replaced. And, yes, the alarm does go off when you use the key; very embarrasing when it first happens unexpectedly.

Wait. The dealerships don't have the details yet, and GM doesn't have the parts in yet.

Yes, that is the case. There are no details for any VINs yet. I have checked all we have in stock.

If I remember correctly, those 3.4 million car models are no longer in production.

These recalls surely have nothing to do with Mary Barra going before congress tomorrow. It's just pure coincidence these were called just before her trip.

So what happens if I take my can in for warranty work? or what if I need the body shop working on it, will they apply the recall without my consent?

This thread motivates me to go out and lock/unlock the doors. Which key do I use?
