With 2011's around the corner. How deep will they discount 2010's?
also what advantage is there to waiting for the 2011's to come out.

Depends on what you're looking for in the discount. If you're waiting for 3 to 5K off you're gonna be waiting a while. There isn't much profit on these cars, ranging from about $700 to $1,400 depending on trim level, and options.
Since the cars are now on dealer lots the best time to buy is right now if you want a 2010 Camaro. Advantages for '11s are Synergy Green - open to all models, The Vert coming 4th quarter of this year, and maybe some info on the Z28, (although it will probably be a 2012 model).

The big reason to wait for the 2011 is the head -up display,as a standard feature on 2SS and 2LT.
I think you will see a $1000 rebate eventually on the V6 or 0% financing.Dealer inventory is starting to back-up in this [ tampa ] area. |

im hoping to see a good price difference atleast on some used ones cause right now sticker price is just not gonna cut it, but i hope at the least they throw out 0% financing.

There won't be any discounts or incentives if the cars move. Yes they are 2010's, but the 11's won't be here till Julyish at the earliest. Dealers have almost all of 2010 to sell the 2010. Maybe this fall they see some sort of discount, but can you wait another 6 months?

I might be naive, but if the initial preorders of 2011's aren't too crazy,I could envision a early July delivery date.Alot of people got ordered cars within 30 days of ordering, during the 2010 run.
Then again, maybe I'm just having a"perfect world"moment. |

Some are already getting $2000 or more off MSRP on 2010's. I think this will become more commonplace in the next 2-3 months, continuing until all 2010's are sold. But something to keep in mind... if you only plan to keep the car 4-5 years, the $2000 you save now (by getting a 2010 over a 2011) you'll probably give back up on tradein/private sale value. That means getting a 2010 vs. 2011 may be a wash, so if you want HUD or a specific configuration, you'd be better off with a 2011.

Get the exact car you want. Order a 2011 to your specs.

In my opinion the discounts are not deep enough, 1 or 2k on a 40k car wth tax and lic. just is not enough to get me to buy. I really hope they keep selling well for awhile longer as that will increase the units on the used market in a year or two. Then we should see more realistic pricing.
