Rev match shift in A6
I have had my car for a year now, and this just happened for the first time. I guess it shows how much of the car I have not used yet. I took it out and punched it in M or Sport mode and had the suspension in Sport. It spun and fishtailed a little and then hooked up. I kept it floored until I hit 127 and then backed out. As I coasted to the stop sign, the car shifted down with that rev shift by itself and not me using the paddles. I have heard it rev down shift every time I use the paddle's, but this was the first time it did the rev shift on its own to down shift. It was pretty damn cool.
Question, is this how it always does in this mode after punching it out and I have just never nailed it that hard or was it some kind of weird one time thing? I know this sounds really stupid. |

after spirited driving in sport mode it does what you said. If you drive easy, it won't do the downshift rev match stuff.

I rented a SS some years ago and took it to a HPD event and that was one of the features I really liked about the auto trans, after that I just kept it in sport mode even on the street.

Huh, my car does it all the time. Doesn't matter what mode I'm in or if in D or M on the shifter.
