So to translate into my language: is it kinda like now, when I punch the gas, it feels like it takes forever to get going and then suddenly BAM I'm cruizin nice.... but if I install this mod, the lag time is greatly reduced and I get the BAM factor much sooner?

If this mod really improves performance (and I'm sure it probably does some) it's one of those things that just makes you wonder why GM wouldn't make the TB that way in the first place. If you're paying a supplier to make them (castings, machining, etc) already I can't conceive that it would add very much cost at all to have them machined a little more to begin with.

IMO...Getting it painted is a waste of money cause the engine cover hides it...for those who leaves it on. This will be on my Xmas liste this year.

I don't think a good answer to the question of voiding the warranty was answered. Do you think that it will void the warranty? Will the computer notice it? Can anyone even tell you put it on?

Honestly folks, if anyone is worried about warranties, do yourself a favor and don't mod your car, performance wise. Just stick to cosmetics until your warranty is up. Would save a lot of headache.

Yes it will void the warranty, I've already said that. That being said it is not an obvious part and MY dealer will overlook it. Different dealers do different things.

I bet most dealers wouldn't even be able to tell even if they took it off.

Absolutely. Besides, I really don't think they could ever get away with summarily voiding a warranty because of a ported throttle body. They'd have to prove it caused whatever was wrong, and an increase of 3hp isn't going to break anything.

I've got one on order. Which really kinda ticks me off. After I hit the $50k mark in my 2001 TA, I swore I'd never go down this road again. That's why I got the V6 to begin with. But honestly, after this, I'm done.

Except maybe for exhaust.

And a turbo.
