Going to the track for 1st time tonight

Well it has been 6 or 7 years since I have been to a drag strip. Haven't had a quick car during that span. But after putting a Borla catback and CAI last weekend I have racing in my blood again. Hope I can get in the 13's for the 1/4. I will update tomorrow to let you all know how I do. Wish me luck!

Well by best time was a 8.73. My friend has an 07 Vette(headers, catback, cai, tune manual) Beat him 5 of 7 races. Got to figure out how to post my time slip.

Good luck! A Borla cat-back, Fastlane CAI and A6 tune got me a 12.7. The cat-back alone was a 13.2.

An A6 tune will help a lot. Meanwhile, try rolling into it on the launch (don't just floor it), so that you can get around a 2.0 sixty-foot.

Most importantly, have fun!

Oops, missed that you just got back. An 8.7 is around 13.4 in the 1/4, so good start.

Just post up the numbers (sixty, 1/8th time and MPH, 1/4 time and MPH). You can post the slip when you figure out how.

Must have been fun to take the Vette!

2.166 60 ft 83.79 mph. I never felt like I had a good launch but I didn't spin too bad off the line. I was beating his 60 ft times by 1/2 second but he started pulling me hard at the end of the 1/8th. His trap speeds were almost always higher. I was consistently 83... and once at 84.08 on my last run. It was about 71 degrees outside.

Come on up to Steele on Sunday. I'll be there. Good track prep, easy pace, no crowds. $35. Great Sunday drive.

84mph in the 1/8 = roughly 105mph in the 1/4 usually

Not bad at all. You'd be running mid 13s @ 105 mph or so. That's pretty much average for a stock L99 A6 in average conditions.

Unfortunately I'm not completely stock. I have cai and catback. But it was my 1st time in this car and years since I have been at the track.
