I installed the SW headers with their high flow cats, easy install and the sound is awesome. Gain I'll tell ya next week, having a tune and dyno run next week.

KOOKS, Stainless Works, and ARH are all great choices. We currently have a promo on KOOKS, Feel free to call, PM or email me with questions.

I can't tell you the gains specifically, as all mods done at once on both Camaros, but the sound is just awesome, especially at WOT!!! Nick and crew at ARH are top notch people to deal with and American made product!!!

Would these headers from American Racing go in with ease on the ZL1 or do you have to alter some things? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ARH-1-78-LON...-/221210368914

I have been looking at this and in my eye's the two best canidates are
budget stainless power texas speed and other make sets as well the stainless power are inspected by them and seem to be a nice header. high end dynatech 14ga 304 (they have a 4 bolt ball and socket connection at the collector instead of a slip fit) kooks are 18ga 304 wich is lighter but not sure over the lifespan how that will work and are ball and socket but a two bolt design. ARH (14ga 304 slip fit collector) are nice headers but for the money I can't see the advantage unless you are the personallity that like to talk about how much parts cost then they are hands down the best header for you. I can't find anyting about them that is nicer than the dynatech for the $400 exta. I am either goint to go budget stainless power ($699) or dynatech coated I am still on the fence. I am keeping this car and all the people on the forums like to go on and on about quality but if stainless works sources good 304 for the stainless powe headers they are going to last just fine. I will inspect either of them for warped flanges and all that before I start to put them on.

I went with the Dynatech & high flows. Love them! they sound AWESOME and power is defiantly noticeable to. I have only street tuned so far and will be dyno tuning this weekend to see the results.

I went with Ceramic Coated JBA Long Tubes and they have been GREAT. I have used JBA in the past and had NO issues. Paid under $600 for the 1 7/8" Stainless and Ceramic headers and $200 for the mids. For $800.00 I received "Stainless and Ceramic coated 16G 409SS headers and mid-pipes. I could not beat that and I wanted Ceramic coated headers no matter what brand.
Check out Padre SS running 10.3's with his JBA Ceramic headers and making 720rwhp with an A6. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ight=padre+ss* |
