"Have it Your Way: Top 10 Priciest Sports Car Add-Ons"

Have it Your Way: Top 10 Priciest Sports Car Add-Ons

© Provided by MotorTrend
Imagine this scenario: The time has come to place an order for that fancy new sports car you've always wanted. You've amassed a nice chunk of change specifically for this purchase, so you're looking at all your options -- think Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Chevrolet, Nissan, Jaguar, Maserati, or Dodge.

You've got the color nailed down, but what about options? In this realm, options are aplenty. And as you can imagine, they're also not all that cheap. A lot are cool. Some are just silly.

We've compiled a list of options and accessories you can expect to see on your imaginary sports car's build sheet. From a $63,000 paint job to a $550 illuminated badge, you'll be shocked and awed by some of the priciest accouterments on the market today.

And the Hellcat black hood option has already been discontinued.

And just a side note, on Motor Trend's list up there the Z07 option is actually a full performance package consisting of multiple items so compared to the others on the list, which are single-item options, it's quite a deal although the caveat is that once you opt for the Z07 Pkg in your Z06 build you will also have to add-on another mandatory option- Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package, Carbon Flash-painted ($2,995) or Visible Carbon Fiber ($3,995).

In the end, the Z07 Performance Package upgrade cost: $10,990 or $11,990 (depending on painted or visible carbon fiber).

Let's see. 918 Spyder with regular paint AND a ATS-V coupe, or 918 Spyder with Liquid Metal paint. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.
