The rear bowtie is attached with double sided tape but there are two holes used for placement. Don't know about the RS badges.

Don't have my car yet but I ordered the front and rear vinyl bowtie kit, I'm gonna install see how it looks and go from there, if it looks bad I wasted 30 bucks and I can just remove the vinyl and paint no big deal.

Once you take the bowtie off you will not be able to reuse it, you will have to order another one. I know this from experience because the body shop that painted my stripes needed to remove it to sand and clear the trunk and the adhesive does not peel off nicely, it will be destroyed.

There should be no need to replace the bowtie because the tape is destryed. Simply go to CarQuest and get some more 3M tape.

We removed the bowtie to do our rear lettering kit, and I would easily be able to reuse it.

By the way, there are 2 holes behind the bowtie. One is round, and the other is oblonged and crooked. The holes are punched out, so there is a bevel on the deck lid around the holes. I would not recommend going badgeless at all in this area - it will look horrendous without some body work.

See what we did:

I like our look better than the bowtie
