Question Any Drone with LTs & 3in MagnaCB

Feedback Please;

Is there any drone with the MagnaFlow 3in syst.(part no. 16483) and long tube headers/cats on the automatic cars? How about the interior noise level? I could not find this in the exhaust compilation thread. Is there any member having the Kooks with cats and the 3inch magnaflow catback on his/her vehicle? Please post a sound sample and or share your experience with this setup. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

There is a slight drone in the 1700 to 1800 RPM range which gets a little worse once you get some miles on it. Sorry no sound clip.

Irc250, is your car an auto? Just saw your bone stock numbers that's why I asked.

I have it.....it's a pretty popular combo.

I don't have any video of it.

I don't have any drone with mine.

Cav, how is the noise level inside your veh.? I don't like it too loud, just deep without drone and excessive cabin noise. I want to be able to talk on the phone or with passengers without screaming. I purchased corsa for my jeep and it was loud with headers. I ended up taking it off. So, I just don't want to make that mistake. I considered the 16579 but it is close to stock.

I have that exact setup you are looking at. Kooks headers with Hi-flow cats and the 16483 Magnaflow cat back. Where in Louisiana are you at? I'd be happy to let you hear it in person and go for a ride if you like. I'm up by Shreveport, LA. I don't have any sound clips. It is slightly louder in side than stock but sounds sweet outside. It has a nice deep tone to it. No drone in my book.

My car is a M6 manual. I'm sure it would sound similar but don't what it would sound like when the AFM kicks in. Too bad you're not closer. I can try to make a sound clip and give you at least something to listen to. I'll try to make one tomorrow and post it on this thread.

If you are going to add headers I would to tell you to either run the 3" Magnaflow or use your stock exhaust. However, the L99 exhaust has a mombo resonator on it.

Inside noise is not loud at all. Actually for me it's almost too quiet. Get on it and you'll hear it for sure. At idle the 3" settles down into a nice deep rumble.

The 3" Magnaflow + LTs is a very popular combo for a reason.

Give JDP at www.MagnaflowParts.com a call. They sell a bunch of Magnaflow stuff. Talk to him about what is the more popular combos and why. Go ahead and get a price on the exhaust from him.....he is usually the cheapest around. Don't go by the prices listed on the site....you have to call him.

Thanks for the feedback. Pulled the trigger this morning. I will provide feedback after it is installed. I started to go with the 16579 but went with the 3in, 16483 instead. Now I am just waiting for it to arrive. I should dip into the 11s n/a in two weeks.

You will love it, i love mine and get compliments on the sound all the time. One of the best sounding exhaust setups in my opinion.

You'll be happy with your choices. I tried to make a video with my cell phone and the audio was horrible and wouldn't give you what you were looking for.
