Any ZL1 Drivetrain Issues?
I am looking at installing the ZL1 driveline kit in my car and was wondering if there have been any diff, axle, or driveshaft failures. My car is a M6 and is making quite a bit more power than a stock ZL1. I want to be sure that it will hold up with a sticky tire at the strip.

I think they are quite stout compared to a SS setup. GM did a great job with a much better rear end setup(larger half shafts, much larger rear end housing, very agressive posi unit). never heard of one failure either. I have at least 20 1.57-1.62 60' times with no issues.

9.8" ring gear. for those who are mathmatically challenged that is 1" bigger than 8.8.
I do not know what the limits of the other components are though. I have not heard of any complaints. I have not even heard of clutch issues until past 700whp. I think it is pretty robust. also contributes to the heavy nature of the car though.

I remember talking to one of the GM engineers at last years Camaro5Fest about the ZL1 rear end. He told me, they TRIED to break it and couldn't.
