Spec Out 2013 2LT
I am beginning to spec out a 2013 2LT. Not sure if GM is still taking orders and if they are not, I hope my dealer can get this car for us. My question is I want the RS Package, but that comes with 20 inch wheels. Because of the manner in which we will be driving, mostly Interstate and Coast to Coast, I would prefer the 19 inch wheels with the all weather touring tires. Is it possible to get the RS Package, with 19 inch wheels? I am copying and pasted my order for our long distance runner. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your advice and assistance.

I'm sure you could trade your 20" wheels with someone that has 19" wheels. I'd keep the 20" wheels and get your own all-season tires.

Orders are closed for 2013 models.
Just trade out the wheels when you get them...the dealer could probably do it for you. I'm sure they have some 19" take-offs in the back from a car that they put some obnoxious chrome bling onto.

As some members have mentioned, can't factory order a '13 anymore. Most dealers are going to try hard to sell you what's on their lot rather than "hunt" down one from another dealer. I've read on our forum that Rockmont Chevrolet in Maryland is good to deal with, Ourisman Chevy in Alexandria on Rt. 1 is a PIA to deal with. They acted like they were doing you me a favor by selling me a car. Needless to say, I didn't buy my 5th Gen. from them (though their service dept. has never failed me for my Saturn AURA, SKY or Chevy 'vert. Koons at Tyson's Corner was easy as pie to deal with and I bought my 5th Gen. 'vert from them 2 years ago. You may also want to check dealerrater.com (http://www.dealerrater.com/directory...weightedrating) for a list of most all of the Chevy dealers in our area as well as customer reviews of their buying and service experience(s) with the dealerships. Lindsay in Woodbridge is an authorized SLP seller. They've had some bad-ass 5th Gens. That's where I'll be going if / when I want an SS. Have the dealer you go to do a search for the car that comes closet to your specs within 500 miles. I'm confident there is a vehicle around that'll come close to your specs. This may be superfluous as you sound like an experienced car-buyer. However, make sure you ask about / research all available incentives / discounts. It might be financially more advantageous to go with with the cash incentives and a reasonable finance rate than 0% at 72 months (with 0% financing you're paying full price for the car which could amount to a couple of grand more than what you'd be paying over the same course of time despite the interest charges on a regular loan. If you have USAA, price your car through their website, print out the "coupon" - it's generally worth a $750 discount. If you belong to a credit union, GM also offers CU disounts worth ~$500 (someitmes you can combine all of the discounts, sometimes they won't let you - definitely worth asking about - https://www.mygmdiscount.com/ - now's a good time as it's close to the end of the MY). Don't know whether they'll do anything for you regarding 19" and all-season radials - you might have to purchase those seperately. Good luck in your search and keep us posted on your progess!

Thanks Baba
Thank you for the information on the local dealers. My first experience with Lindsay in Woodbridge was a non-starter as the "Internet Price" was BS, and included qualifying stuff like being an employee of GM, financing with GM Financial, and giving up your first born if you are over 30 years old (in other words qualifications I could not meet). I did a quick "pop-in" visit to Page on Little River TP, and the sales associate seemed to be a pretty good guy. I am beginning to develop a strategy. We have a vacation coming up and will be out of the country for 10 days. Before we leave I will take my spec sheet to several dealers in the No Va area and ask them to research the car and if they could get the car to the dealership. By the time we get back it will be late July and agree on a purchase price. I'll give any dealer a chance to sell me a car, but I know when I am being played and at that point we walk.
