Realistic gain ?

I just wanted to run this by you guys.

The shop I "MIGHT" be dealing with to get the parts and tune is suggesting that I go with this setup:

Dynatech LT w/ HF-Cats + Corsa cat-back + Roto-fab (will save me a chunk of money as he said).

this is instead of: Kooks LT w/o cats + Borla S type + Roto-fab.

He is saying that i would reach 415 - 430 rwhp + the dyno tune he will give me (on the first setup).

I just need to know if the numbers are accurate ?!

and is that first setup a nice one overall ? sound/quality ?

the thing that worried me is first he said that there is no difference between the headers, then he said that the Dynatech is less curvy, hence, better ?

Thx

I would say more in the ballpark of 400 to 415! But u can expect with a good tune and what u are wanting roughly 30rwhp extra from the base numbers!

Those numbers seem a little high, I would believe at most, maybe you could get to the 410RWHP but wouldn't be surprised to see more like 400 with that setup.

I have a very similar setup, Kooks LT, hiflow cats, ADM CAI with scoop, Magnaflow 3" catback. My car tuned made 401rwhp. My tuner said 400 to 410 is average with a LS3.

So I am concidering a simular setup.. My question is will I really be able to feel an extra 30 hp? I thought you would need an additional 50-60 hp to really feel a difference? I'm only asking because I'm concidering the same setup. If I spend 1$1500 for not much difference, than it's not really worth it.

Well He has Selected Excellent Parts so you can't go wrong, 410-415 is what we see with those exact parts.

But then again he could have a dyno that reads a bit high.

NO Worries Go For it.

Ted.

You think so ?.

What would the difference be if i went with the kooks LT instead ?!..

The Dynatech LT's are certainly easier on my wallet, but i need to know if there is a difference somewhere or the extra expense is just for the brand name ?

Thanks Ted !

I Know So!

Dynatechs are a Favorite of ours and perform equally well to all 1 7/8 LT headers on the Market.

Or you can go Stainless works or ARH 2 inch Long Tubes which is another favorite for another 5 RWHP at Peak.

Read our Header Test.

Look into the Doug Thorleys also! To me they are a good bang for the buck! Talk to Ivan@southwest speed on here, he can answer some questions if needed!

Go 2 inch and add an under drive crank pulley. Should be good for ~420rwhp.
