Thanks...my blue highlight stripe is about 5/8" wide. It's back under the knife as we speak though. A few changes being made and I hope to have it back in about 2 weeks.

Your car looks great. A little blue will look awesome.

OK we're in finally. Simple bone stock for now but the mods will be done in a month. She's a blank canvas and ready to go!

Thanks, as for appearance goes we're going to delete the Bow-tie on the grill, add 1LE emblems to the hood, put blackened Camaro letters to the fenders, black-out the tail-light bezels, maybe delete the rear Bow-tie or blacken it out, give her some black Gorilla lug-nuts, tint the windows and a set of BMR 1" springs to drop a little. Then it's on to the performance side of the mods.

General thought is that it is caused by the gasses in the front struts coming through the hole.

We did a meet here in Kansas City last month and it was brought up, we are meeting again this weekend. Someone there knew someone who got repainted.

My White Indy Pace Car had 23 miles on it when I purchased it at the dealer and when I did my walk through on the car, I made the dealership note the discolorization of both strut towers. The dealership also installed the GM Ground effects package and SLP Loud mouth II axle back exhaust prior to purchase. The car now has 10k miles and I have the same discolorization of the white factory paint above the chrome tips of the rear valence. My local dealer which is not the dealer I purchased the car from says the discoloring is under the clear coat and is caused from the high heat of the exhaust fumes. They say the only way to correct it is to extend the tail pipes beyond the valence, place heat shielding material between the exhaust and the valence and repaint. They also said they believe that if you don't place heat shielding material under the strut tower it will return there as well. With seeing the exact same discoloring on the valence as on the strut tower real confirms for me that heat is problem!
