The very day I can actually put in writing an order with my name on it, I will do so. I don't care how long it takes the car to get to my dealer, but I will be placing an order the day orders are up and running.

I'm guessing somewhere around the end of Nov. Right?

I'm in... I don't need the HUD and I already have a buyer for my daily driver I have now ('02 Accord). So I'm ready, especially if they decide to SPEED IT UP SOME!!!

I would buy an SS/RS right away but because the HUD won't be availible till Dec 2009 I won't be buying until then. I plan on having the car for quite a while so it has to have everything I want.

HUD is cool, but I'm content with what they will offer at initial release.

I had fun driving a 1938 Pontiac with a three speed on the column and a starter pedal, with the only options being a heater and two brake lamps.

I think I will enjoy my Camaro with or without HUD.

I've decided that with dealer markups and such, I might have to wait until the HUD is available after six months and then order one..

Do a little homework, you'll find dealers willing to commit up front not to markup any Camaro.

I've found two, and one is a regular on this forum

I said wait 6 months, but just because I don't know if I'll be deployed or not. I got back in April, but rumors have it that we'll be back in the sandbox by Dec. I know I hate it! If I'm home I'll be placing my order ASAP. If not, that just means I'll be paying cash for mine. Either way it will be mine. Oh yes it will!!!

I will be buying as soon as I can, but am willing to wait long enough to get the deal that I want.

Buying One 6 Mo?

Its so tempting! I missed the Camaro and have waited 6 years now but I want a Z28 that will eat Mustangs and Challengers for dinner.

I'm waiting for the HUD as well. Call it "bad medicine" as I would have bought one right away otherwise. The delay means additional time to save and a better price on the car, since the initial buzz will have died down by then.

Can't really afford 2 Camaros so I need to wait 'til it's right for me. Needs to be north of 550HP weather it's Z28 or ZL1.

Drop the LS9 "as is" into it and shave some weight, then you got me! I'd pay $70k for that now!
