V6 Track-pack????
Hey All!,
First off I've been following this forum since December or so, checking up from time to time and reading all the 'sky-is-falling' threads. Anyways, I'm now in the financial position to order my camaro and I finally had a question/comment of my own. I've always had V8 muscle cars; I've had 4 4th gen camaro's and I'm on my second mustang. All but two of these cars have been sticks. For the Camaro, I'd really like to get the 2LT/RS; I really like the idea of have more of a sophisticated sports coupe with the M6, rather than a pure muscle car. My only wish, if I were to do this, would be to get the bigger discs/brembos and the FE2 suspension from the SS. Even some beefier sway bars would be nice. Why don't we have a 'track-pack' option for the v6 like the genisis coupe does? If this is something that is coming down the pipe in the future I might hold off. If not, I guess I'll have to just break down and get the 2SS/RS! |

And how much would you want this option to cost?

Not really sure, on My mustang I've done:
Baer rotors/calipers Stiffer H&m Springs Koni adjustable shocks Watts linkage Adjustable lower control arms Eibach stiffer sway bars Now all of the above probably cost me over 6K(the break kit alone was like 3K CAD) I'm thinking I'd be willing to pay 1800-2200 for some factory bigger brakes/discs, stiffer sway bars etc. |

Just order the 1SS since that is the track pack you are asking for not much more than a 2LT.

If you want a track pack type setup for the v6, then call Pedders. They are already working off their history with the Zeta platform and should have kits to suit your needs for a lot less than the difference between a 2LT and a 2SS.

Lets wait for them to start building the V6 M6 and *then* ask for the track pack. :p

the FE2 is the standard suspension for the V6... the FE3 is the suspension for the SS model's.

to go this way is I like the idea of having a true 'no compromises' (except the v8) six cylinder version of the v6... Right... I knew there was a difference. Now why can't we order FE3 with the V6 tho? |

i would really like this, the v6 already stops faster (once) ad holds more grip, this would make the lighter v6 handle very good

better grip doesnt mean out handel you need to drive them to say something like that better tires would bring up far better numbers than just beef up the susp.
