Wow! This is a great video and just a glimpse of a great car. I can understand the Mustang guys getting their underwear in a wad about this especially since the Boss 302 goes for $44k without the dealer markup. Yeah, but if the 1LE even sticks close to the Boss, it's still a win! I'm surprised at the negative comments on this thread...this is great news.

I watched the Camaros put a whoopin on the rest of the field including the Boss 302 at Indianapolis this past Friday in the Continental Tire Challenge race. Camaros came in 1st and 2nd and maybe 4th...don't remember. That used to be a Mustang safe haven but now it looks like the Camaro is the "boss"!

Actualy the 5 camaro racing came in the top ten places (1-2-4-7-8) againts the 13 Mustangs all out of the top ten!! ouach...

The hood is just a wrap. Have the dealer peel it off before you even leave the lot.

When does the order book open for the 1LE? This car has convinced me to spend my money with GM again. Unless of course dealers try and pull some mark up BS, but I don't see how, the car is not a limited edition, its just a option on top of a SS.

Marking it up would defeat one of it's main objectives....

Affordability.

I would fight to the end with the dealer if I saw them add markups on this car.

That being said, I can't wait to purchase one in the spring of 13'.

Another great addition to, the line up. The Camaro team has done it again. If I had not decided to buy a ZL1, I was going to buy one of these.

Note how fast a car is on any track on any given day, really depends on the driver. As stated before on this forum, most of us can not fully use the cars we have.

Thank you Becky for posting this for us.

And some of us appreciate all tha the Camaro team has done with the card they have been given.

great videos. Were you there? It was awesome. In the Rolex race there was one Mustang and it ran last or second to last with the only Viper as it's only competition for last place.

Well you actually make my point. I am, and always have been, a Camaro enthusiast. I had never heard of the 1LE tag til THIS car.

I've NEVER been a Mustang guy. I've heard of the Boss and all the rest.

My point is that the names bring attention and memory. The numbers don't.

Shelby, Cobra, Boss.

If the idea is to sell Camaros to Camaro enthusiasts AND non-enthusiasts then I think they will sell a few less cars. Give it an appropriate name and it would get more ambient attention from non-enthusiasts.

The thing about the 1LE is that it's just an option on the SS, it's not really a new model.

It gets compared to the Boss. It's primary competition is the Boss.

Which shouldn't be, its pretty much just a track pack on an SS.

There is another car that should be comparable to the Boss, or so we hope.
