"#69 Ford Mustang"

So a couple months back I was driving around town and I see a light blue (5th gen) Ford Mustang with the number "69" on the door. I eventually get behind it, and notice theres a line across the left side of the car, as well as another "69", on the back of the car next to the Mustang emblem.
Weird thing is..last night I was thinking about the mustang again after i saw an "01" on that dukes charger (was looking chargers up online); and just today, i was driving around town, and i saw it yet again. (weird how stuff like that happens huh?)
its a white background with the numbers left the same color as the car..
besides this being a sexual reference, lol, is there any significance to *number 69*-ford mustang, current or otherwise?.., or do you think this was just left to be a humorous sexual joke?-mixed with racing details....
oh and it said "Flash Friday", just above the right tail light.
and it had a skull image on the left side of the back bumper

There was a #69 Mustang way back, I think I used to have a model of one as a kid, I am sure there was some point to it.... too long ago though.

It was a late 60's car, grey or black with white circle around the 69, like in MACs pic...
