I'm thinking about getting it too, but I hear mixed reviews.

I've had the s type axle back for a year. Awesome if you like a good deep sound, but not too loud. My wife and son don't seem to mind it.....I actually had a guy in a new mustang pull up next to me and tell me how good it sounded. The only negative is freeway driving (drone). I find myself downshifting from 6->5 on slight inclines at around 70mph to avoid annoying drone. Its not too bad, but annoying if you like the cabin quiet and want to talk.... Turn up the radio on the freeway and you would never notice it. I would take a hard look at corsa as well....

I have jacked up the volume on the two, and I prefer the S-Type. I told MYDLIFECRISIS the same.

I have the S and think it sounds great. I have headers too. When your goin through the gears above 4000 rpm's, it sounds just awesome. You will forget about any drone you might have. Just bring the RPM's up, and you will be fine.

My brother has the S-Type on his 2010. Sounds great with longtubes, unfortunately it does have drone like others have said, it gets a bit worse with longtubes as well.
However it does sound great, I think the sound level is just about perfect, especially with longtubes.

I have found that the Pirelli tire noise is by far worse than any drone from the Borla S-type mufflers.

I have the S-type axle back. I love it. At idle it seems to have more of a loping chug that gives it a great sound.
At WOT it roars. I do have drone on the highway at about 1900 RPMs/75 MPH in 6th. It doesn't bother me much as the Metallica is always blasting loud on the highway. When I drive the wife though I typically shift to 5th gear. I don't have headers yet, thats the next mod. |

I have the Borla (catback ATAK though) on my Challenger and there is some drone but not too bad. The drone was a nightmare when it had the midpipes on top of it. I couldn't handle it - drone drives me nuts. My husband, on the other hand, liked the drone. Just goes to show how different people are. I'll probably get the ATAK for the Camaro simply because I'm already aware of how much drone there might be. I've considered the S-Type as well. Good luck choosing - it's hard to decide!

Thank you HerRide. It is going to be hard to choose because I can only go off vids and pals word unless I find someone around that has what I'm looking at which is highly unlikely. Once I do decide and get it installed I will post a review. Thanks for all the help everyone!
