Fbodfather HELP definitive answer on REAR spoiler stripes? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Will the stripes be over the spoiler? Or, to the back before the spoiler? On the Silver Barrett Jackson car it goes down the spoiler, but on the Red one from NAIAS, and the Inferno Orange from auto show, it goes to the back and stops at the spoiler.

What will we be getting?

my GUESS is the dealer stripes will just be in the lid, the factory will be over the spoiler.

vehicles in Montreal and Detroit are correct -- silver car at Barrett-Jackson is not.

Worse news for me than the short hood stripes. The rear deck stripes not going over the spoiler is just not acceptible. Now I have to rethink the entire stripe issue. Bummer!!!!

I prefer over the spoiler in the back too, but this is a clean, modern look.

I'm fine with it.

I didn't think I would like the shorter stripes out front, but I do, they look right with the mail slot.

I plan on having my stripes painted on for several reasons. Most importantly is that when I saw the Barrett-Jackson car the other day the stripes on the hood do not go all the way to the edge of the hood. There is about a 1/16th to 1/8th inch gap where the hood meets the windsheild that will drive me crazy. Not sure what painted stripes will cost but I think they are the way to go from what I have seen.

well that sucks. I was going to add stripes to my order this week after seeing the stripes in Scottsdale over the weekend. I guess I might have to reconsider. Either way I'm just glad to hear a final verdict because I'd rather fbodfather be honest or we would all be dissapointed recieving something we didn't want.

I honestly think it would look like ass to have the stripes go over the short spoiler. if they were not continuing all the way down the back of the car. clean rear end vs 2 stripes going 2" in the back????

ill keep the clean rear.
