So from what I saw it may be possible to just drill a hole in our existing LCA to mount the new sway bar. Anyone else think the same?

No, there is a plate across the top in the area that is half the size. I think the plate would interfere with the new end link.

Not only is the lower control arm different, the mounting point on the cradle for the sway are bigger bolts as well. They go from 8mm to 10mm, so those will need to be changed as well. It isn't just a sway bar swap.

Indeed you are correct!

This is why I never stated at anytime that the parts would be a direct interchange.
The purpose of the thread was just to show some of the 2012 changes.
I guess I... well...

That is really amazing given the terrible condition the tab was in. Are you sure you haven't gone soft on us?

Nope. Maybe a tad harder.

Hell, I may have a 'U' Joint going out now. In front.
of the ZL1 underneath, that is one of the things I wanted to answer. I could swear it's open in that area.

Yes, if you look back at the pictures, the plate on top of the control arm is about 3" wide on the "10 &'11 models. Now, if you really want to try to modify it, I suppose you could cut a portion of that plate out & drill the lower control arm to accept the new end link, but the list price on a new '12 lower control arm is only around $50.00.

I just checked mine and sure enough there is a gusset plate welded across there. One hole in it but it's not centered. For some reason I was thinking it was open as well.
