Attention N/E Det5thGen Members Going to Baker's - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

It looks like our June 3rd meeting will be moved to Saturday, June 4th, and will take place at Baker's.

I am posting to ask if anyone from the N/E area of Metro-Detroit is interested in meeting up and caravaning westbound on I-696 to Baker's in Milford. We will meet the downriver and west side members near Wixom at I-96 and Beck Rd.

Perhaps we could meet on M-59 (Hall Rd), go south on M-53, west on the Mound Rd connector (18-1/2 Mile Rd), south on Mound Rd (pot hole warning), and west on I-696 to Milford Rd. Of course, we could hook-up with others along the way.

Your thoughts...suggestions?

Thanks for starting this thread Alfie. I updated our website event page to reflect the change. As posted on our website, my plan is to meet @ Beck Rd. @ I-96 . We can discuss all of the details here if it's more convenient for everyone. Let's go D5GCC!! I want to see @ least 20 members registered for this event!! That should be no problem for our group. And for all of those attending.... we need to make sure we wear our member shirts for this event. I'll be doing a lot of recruiting on that day for sure!!

No prob. Yes, I agree, I-96 and Beck Rd would be an ideal place for us to meet. There is a large paved MDOT Car Pool Parking lot just north of the freeway, at Beck and 12 Mile Rd. I think Beck Rd is Exit #160.

Just a suggestion; when the time comes to look for a meeting place on the N/E side, let me know. Maybe I can help locate a place somewhere on the eastern end of the M-59 (Hall Rd) corridor.

Perhaps we'll do the northeast meeting after we do a downriver one....gotta give props to our "downriver rats", ya know.

Sounds Great! we are coming from 29mi and Van Dyke. Just tell me when and where to meet around M-59 / M-53 to make it to the Beck Rd Meet in time.

OK North East 5th Gens! How about the parking lot next to McDonald's on M-59 and Utica Park Blvd? Not in the McDonald's, but the big lot next door; Office Max, Best Buy, McLaughlin Furniture etc. It's on the north side of M-59 (Hall Rd).

That's between Schoenherr and M-53. Not sure of our rendezvous time yet...depends on what time we will meet the rest of the club at I-96 and Beck.
