This is an email I received from a dealer today. I told them I was ready to place a deposit provided they were honoring MSRP. This is what I received:

Sounds like your dealer might be looking for an excuse because he screwed you somehow.

I didn't place an order with them, so thankfully I haven't been screwed. I think this is their way of saying they're not honoring MSRP without saying as much.

Not sure why you are so eager to pay MSRP. Got some extra cash you don't need?

Yeah...I think that was their way of saying.....hey, come stop in around May and buy one of our Camaros off the lot. Don't mind that $5,000 markup we put ontop of the sticker price...it's for "dealer fees"

Uh, do you think you're getting one for less. Not for a while. Maybe next year. If you have a discount through GM maybe you can get less than sticker.

I don't see why he still can't take an order... sounds like he does not want to preorder any but sell them direct off the lot for a BIG profit...

I would just tell him, "Either I order one here NOW and get MSRP or I will move on, it's not like you have people beating your door down to buy cars...."
PS if you do order one from them get it in writing the price you will pay.. I bet he will claim they don't even know the price yet...
