2010 2SS/2LT HUD install

Has anyone in western Canada, installed heads up display HUD in their 2010 camaro, or is thinking about installing one, alot of peolple down south has done so, for about $500 in parts and a full day of work it can be done, i looked at trading my camaro for a new one, but with what i've put in it and the difference in price of a trade, i'll convert mine.

You will have to change your windshield for the HUD display to work properly, so you have to add that to the price of the other parts..

I live in Alberta, windshield has a few rock chips, so no problem with a new windshield, lots of people have kept the non HUD windshield with no big difference, but i will replace mine.

There were pictures posted somewhere showing the difference between the HUD windshield and non HUD windshield and I, for one, could see little difference. This is a mod that I am interested in doing as well. Been pondering it for a long time. LOL

I think the hardest part is the will to cut the dash.

If you can find a copy of the Fall issue of Camaro Now Magazine they did a step by step walk through of installing the HUD.

After reading the article, thinking if I ever decide to do so, I'll leave to the professionals.

I saw the same article Matt. I'm leaning toward you in this thinking. LOL Cutting the dash, template or not, is just way too nerve racking for me. LOL

I have seen both windshields used as well (in pictures), but personally would retaining the stock non HUD glass if it was in decent shape. It's just a cash grab!!

As for cuttung into the dash.......just close your eyes on the first cut!! (GM sells dashes too!!LOL!).

I am fotunate to have an '11 and I live by mine when driving!! Love it!!
