v6 & SS Camaro Hoods??
I need to replace my hood due to a recent accident. I have the Camaro v6. I know someone who replaced his SS hood for a carbon fiber hood. Will his OEM SS hood fit on my v6? Thanks!

I don't understand why you would want to advertise your V6 as a V8? I understand the concept of a sleeper but this is sort of an anti-sleeper isn't it?

It does come off as pretending to be something your not. If your good with that then that's fine... I'd feel a little weird about it personally.

Am I the only one who is confused here? The OP is talking about the HOOD not the fascia. The hood on the SS and V6 are the exact same, it is the fascia that has the mailslot on the SS. The OP is not trying to make his V6 look like an SS

Yeah, he had an accident, hood=smashed...friend has hood sitting in his garage...will it fit? Yes, and you won't be a poser...unless you try to borrow his SS emblems, but for now you are safe...hehe.

Ah.... did I miss something?
The hood on our cars are all the same, whether a v6 or a v8. The mail slot is part of the front fascia, not the hood. Using the available hood, which happen to come from a v8, isn't pretending to be anything or anit-sleeper. It is being "green" and good for the environment.  Are you all a little quick with the "don't pretend button" today?
