Hope you are enjoying your car Lou. I miss Ohio. No inspections or anything. PA is a little better than NY but not much. I think it must be a factory defect causing it to be loud. The pedal won't come back up and your foot is stuck on the floor.

That and the mexican food surely cause the vehicle to exceed the decibel level limits established by the city council. Guilty !

NY state law states you can not modify or alter your exhaust to amplify or make louder than what it comes factory. ( i know, I got one of those tickets before with my truck). But if your exhaust is factory, it is fine!

cops can just be stupid IMO. I have had a cop tell me that he heard my car from 50 ft and that was illegal. I was like good luck with that in court. I can hear a honda idle at 50 ft.

He just wanted to show you he was in charge and be a douche. It would get thrown out in court. I ususually use the chewbacca defense myself or bring a glove 2 sizes to small. honestly a cop can site you if he feels like it but it does not mean a judge would agree with him. I have seen tickets for factory tint.

maybe I'll move there come retirement.
I do see why Amherst NY was rated #1 safest place in America,
obviously the Police Dept has a policy/program the rest of the country doesn't have yet.

And trust me you would get a LOT less love than me with your GTO !

Loud pipes also annoy the heck out of some of us to the point we sometimes wish we could take that life that the loud pipes are supposed to be saving.

Yes, I like loud pipes, but sometimes they are just out of hand. It's usually the operator.

In the burg, I grew up in, if they couldn't roll a soccer ball under the bumpers, then your car was too low and me with a California rake and glass packs on my '58 Chevy Impala.

My ZL 1 would have been impounded by the Fuzz back in the day.
