10 psi actually safe on pump gas with stock compression?? Isn't stock sompression of a LS3 almost 11:1?
Not dissing here, asking a serious question. Great numbers by the way |

LS3 numbers!!!!
Well, here we are at the end of a long dyno tuning session. Big thanks to Justin at J and J Performance for all the tuning of the car. We never really even hit 10psi today. The highest numbers were made on 9.xx psi (mostly high 9s) The car made these numbers at the very end of the day so they would be even better.
Now for some more information that we have found out today. The car has muffler deletes on it but still factory piping. What we have realized is that the factory piping is pretty restrictive even on the LS3s with no mufflers. With the factory exhaust bolted up, the car was making a lot of torque but the horsepower numbers werent climbing as fast at the torque. This to me meant that the exhaust was too restrictive. We then unbolted the exhaust to see what it would do and the horsepower jumped up a ton. These turbo cars are definitely in need for a larger diameter exhaust. The numbers with the factory exhaust are 580whp and 604wtq SAE corrected. By simply unbolting the rear section of the exhaust, we picked up a free 30 more hp and 30 more torque to the wheels. If this was my car, I would be headed to the exhaust shop immediately and have someone make a nice dual 3 inch so I could pick up the free horsepower. This car on a cold day with a 3inch dual exhaust would make probably even more power than we did at the end of the day. We will be working on designing a nice 3 inch exhaust here soon that will match right up to the back of the turbo kit. Here are the dyno numbers for the car today. It freaking flies on the street and is going to be a BLAST to drive back home for Lawdogg. Last edited by JTinFL; 09-29-2009 at 06:55 PM. |

Yeah your ride home will be a blast like Lawdoggs will. I drove his car home from the dyno and its really the best of both worlds. You can just cruise along at part throttle and its really not much louder than stock....OR you can punch it and it screams like a bat out of hell and flies!! I think a new Camaro might be on my next thing to get list.
100% the most looked at car that I have ever driven on the street. |

Awesome maybe you guys can get my kit shipped out sonner than two weeks. I would like to be one of the only people in GA to have a turboed Camaro. Lawdogg needs some competition. By the way Lawdogg look forward to seeing you at Talladega.
