Is the Sonax full effect wheel cleaner safe on chrome?and I assume from the above photo that you can apply to a cool dry dirty wheel or does it matter if you pre-wash.Thanks

I was wondering, is it ok to just clay bar and not follow up with polishing and wax? I'm waiting on my pc 7424 or should I just wait until it arrives to do the full detailing?

I would just wait till you get everything in.

if not at the least wax after claying you want to have some protection on the paint.

I have a white car and I'm fanatical about cleaning the bug guts off the front after every ride, waterless wash and detail spray, or hose and soap if bad enough. Yesterday, one of the little splats left an orange spot that didn't come off, even tried a dab of a fine machine polish, no luck. What can I do to remove it, and prevent it without using film?

sure you can use the Stoner's tarminator on the paint but make sure you clean it off well and wax the area again.

Tried the Tarminator, that is some nasty stuff! Works great on tar and bugs, stripped all of the wax instantly. Didn't touch the staining. It was aggressive enough that I don't think I'll use it on paint again.

I left it on for about a minute, keeping it moist with a white microfiber. It is hard to get a good picture, being on a curved edge of a white car. It is just a small orange smudge left behind after the bug exploded.

did you try to clay it?

its sounds like a fall out/rust spot.
